Behect´s Syndrome: Report of Two Cases of Behect´s Syndrome and Review of Literatures

Abstract

|
The manifestations of fully developed Triple-complex symptoms of Behcet´s syndrome among twenty five and thirty four year-old women are presented. Both group of women have: genital ulcers which are deep, irregular shaped, multiple and painful, and located over the labia majora and minora, vaginal wall, cervix of uteri, inguinal and perineal areas, and ulcers in the oral cavity, tongue and lips (Aphthous stomatitis type), and affected eyes which show .rridccvclitis and synechias, and one of these patient has skin lesions of Erythema nodosum type ertremities.
Since there were many ulcer forming diseases over the genital area, the authors discussed differential diagnosis of the syndrome and made the table of differential diagnosis, because patients often were visiting gynecologic clinics and gynecologists might mis-diagnose the disease. -
The etiology of the syndrome has not been well established yet; however, concerning the histopathology and the course of the disease, the author suggested that the autoimmune mechanism could be the cause of the disease. In addition, the authors discussed the c1ii7ical signs and symptoms, histopathological pictures, laboratory findings of the disease, and reviewed the literatures.
